Feb. 02, 1965 - Colonel Maynard Show His New Painting Of Sir Winston The Churchill Allegory'; An exhibition is being held at the Qantas Gallery and Piccadilly of Works a by Colonel Alister Maynard formerly of the Seaforth Highlanders - who created a minor sensation last year with paintings of the Queen with her head placed on the body of a lion - - and Prince Andrew tweaking the lion's tail - and the portrait of the Queen Mother Stuck on the body of duck. The main exhibit today is a new portrait of Sir Winston Churchill - a Churchill allegory which has a silhouette of Blenheim a bit of Bladon Churchyard and Churchill's head in the Clouds.
