Combined forces demonstration at Culver Cliff, Isle of Wight
May 17, 1955 - Exercise Runaground - On the Isle of Wight. Lowering a Man on a Stretcher: Students of the staff colleges of the three services are taking part in Runaground VI at Culver Cliff on the Isle of Wight and at Gosport today. The first phase consists of a Commando cliff assault up a 250 ft. high rock face.
