Five Committee of 100 leaders arrested, London

Dec. 12, 1961 - 5 Ban the Bomb Leaders Arrested: Five members of the Committee of 100 were arrested by Special Branch Officers today - little more than 24 hours before their planned demonstration at the RAF base at Wethersfield, Essex. The five - four men and a woman - appeared at Bow Street Court under the Official Secrets Act for conspiring to enter the base. They were remanded on bail of £200 each until December 14.
