May 05, 1957 - British visitor to make three calls in American Waters: HMS Bigbury Bay, flagship of the Royal Navy's West Indies Station, is to make three calls in the US: Jamestown (for the Jamestown Festival) May 11-16; New York City, May 17-20; and Boston, Mass. May 22-27. The 2, 400-long-ton British frigate will be flying the pennant of Commodore GE Hunt, in command of the West Indies Station, a four-times decorated submarine commander of World War II with 32 enemy vessels to his name
