Communism - Socialism

Feb. 02, 1953 - War Girl sensation. Exchange bid rejected: Lee Meng, the 25-year old girl leader of the Malayan Communists, now under a British sentence of death, is the subject of a sensational exchange offer just made to the British Government. Such is the value the Communists world put on this girl, who was arrested last July that the Hungarian Government has offered to hand over Edgar Senders, serving 13 years in Budapest for alleged spying if Lee Meng is release. Lee Meng, who claims the she is in fact Lee Tian Tai, a working girl, and not the Communist girl leader, was accused last August of having a hand-grenade, a pistol, an automatic and consorting with armed bandits. Photo shows Lee Tian Tai alies Lee Meng
