Dec. 26 Clear signs of dissension inside the powerfull Italian Comunist Party emerged over its policy of endorsing government moves to solve the country's acute economic crisis. The sharpest indication came in a speech by party president Luigi LONGO at a Central Commitee meeting and published by the Communist nespaper L'Unita. Longo criticited secretary Enrico Berlinguer advo cat of an historic comprise of sharing power with the ruling Christian Democrats and another well known communist leader Giovanni Amendola. For his part Amendola criticized some trade union leaders who opposed government austerity measures to solve Italy's economic crisis big budget and balance of payments deficits, high inflation and a steadily declining lira.
