The telescope is used to study and take pictures of stars. With this telescope stars of the 23rd since can be seen - with the naked eye stars of the sixth size can only be seen. The field is 20 time bigger than that of the Mount Palomar telescope. he size of the telescope camera is 20 ft. the weight three tons. The cost of construction was 800, 000 Deut marks.
