Research on ram Jet test vehicle.: Members of the Press paid a visit to the Ministry of supply - National gas Turbine Establishment - at Pyestock, Hants this afternoon to see some of the research carried out on all types of gas turbines engines. Photo shows one of the latest turbines under research is this Ram Jet Test Vehicle - the initial motive power being supplied by the surrounding rockets - on reaching a given speed these rockets break away and the Ram Jet fuel is ignited and carries on under its own power. Technical information is sent back to base by radio from the Ram Jet - seen at the Establishment this afternoon
