Jul. 07, 1957 - Czechoslovakia Participates In The International Geophysical Year. The Astronomic Institute at Ondrejov, near Prague - is one of the stations talking part in the International Geophysical Year. Chromospheric eruptions of solar activity, have been observed there by means of a spectro-helioscope - since 1948. During these nine year a more than 1, 300 eruptions have been observed from the Institute. In addition to visual observation - photographs are also being taken.
