Aug. 08, 1957 - The Jensch - Coelostat 300.. is a modern horizontal-coelostat and serves in combination with the use of especially sensitive optical systems or those of very long focal distance, the parallactic erection of which can not be made possible, and which have to be mounted solidly, and which are used for astronomical, especially surveys of solar spectrum and photographical observations. The instrument was developed at Zeiss-Jena for the International Geophysical Year 1957/58
