Nov. 11, 1959 - Launcing Of ATV's New International Television Unit: At the French Embassy in London today, the first international mobile television recording unit was launched in the presence of the French Ambassador (M. Jean Chauve, the American Ambassador, Mr. John Hay Whitney, Sir Robert Fraser, Director General of the ITA, members of the Board of ATV and other distinguished French, American and British guests. Three vans contain ATV's new100, 000 525-line mobile unit- the first completely self-contained mobile taping facility on the American standard of definition to be developed in this country. With this unit programmes and events all over Europe will be recorded for transmission on American television networks. Photo Shows: M.
