Jun. 06, 1958 - Heat by the Yard: A method of applying heat in difficult industrial situations has been developed by a firm of English electrical engineers. Known as the Heat by the Yard system, it consists of a network of electrical resistance wire enclosed in a knitted elastic sleeve of fiber-glass yarn that can be applied like a tape.
