Sep. 09, 1959 - Frankfurt police control traffic with TV As traffic in some parts of the city of Frankfurt is growing rapidly, police set up six TV cameras which send their pictures to a central desk at the police headquarters From there it is possible, following the traffic seen on the screens, to change the phases of light signals just as the situation requires.
