Office: The Decca Type 41 storm warning radar scanner is now being used by the London Forecasting section of the Meteorological office - as an experiment, The apparatus displays echoes from heavy rain or storms within a radius of approx 150 miles - cost5, 000 to install and is expected to increase efficiency in weather forecasting.
