Feb. 26 The Radio Telescope At The Royal Radar Establishment: The Ministry of Aviation has at the Royal Radar Establishment a new installation for astronomical and upper atmosphere research. The equipment, which is on the of a former airfield at Defford, near Ma consists of two steerable and mobile with parabolic reflectors which can be used either separately or in conjunction as anromater. The radio telescopes can be operated over a wide range of wavelength down to a few centimeters and their spacing can be varied up to about 1, 000 meters in any orientation for interferometric observations of high angular resolution. The reception of radio emissions and also with transmitters for radar astronomy.
