Feb. 29 An ungorgetful Phone: Western Electric's Angela Cassate displays a new telephone her company makes for the Bell system. It not only remembers any telephone number she wants, it will dial it automatically. The Call-a-Matic telephone stores up to 250 or 500 different numbers, including Area Codes. They are fed to its memory by the buttons on the left. Angela can type or write the numbers on a laphabetized directory. To call one, she uses an electric scanner and a time tuner (uppewr right of set) to line up the directory. Then she presses the call button (lower right) and the Call-a-Matic telephone does the rest. The unforgetful phone will be available to Bell System customers throughout the nation by early next year
