Jul. 12, 1962 - French station for space Telecommunications: The French station at Plemeur Bodou, Brittany, receives the massages of the 170 pounds orbiting relay satellite Tesstar'. The station was built in 1961, it has a detection Radar, Electronic Reckoning, receiving and transmitting aerials. all the instruments are kept in a constant heat and dampness, in a special plastic enclosure. This enclosure blown up by pressurise air is called Randome'. Photo Shows a view of the Randome': diameter 63 meters; height 44 meters; it covers a surface of 58 meters diameters on the ground
