Jun. 06, 1964 - New Radio Telescope - at Jodrell Bank. The Mark II and the Mark I.: The new £300, 000 radio telescope - known at the Mark II - was to be seen at Jodrell Bank - yesterday. It has a movable elliptical dish 125 ft. across - which allows radio research to be extended far above the existing useful frequency limit of the 250 ft. diameter telescope which has been in use since 1957.
