Mar. 23, 1965 - Watching the stars......is a lifelong hobby of Johann Kern (KERN), 70, a farmer living in Steinmark, a little village between Frankfurt and Wuerzburg, Germany. Kern started his astronomers honey when he built a telescope all by himself, with which he had a chance to view far beyond our solar system. His private observatory are two wooden huts, setup lonely on a hill.Only now, generous donatres realized the dream of his life. Kern was gifted with a giant 3-meter-telescope high in get up in a hut in his observatory. The walls of the hut are mobile, wnd whenever the amateur astronomer wants to view the sky, he simply rolls them aside. With the new telescope, Kern is able to look deep into space, seeing stars some million of light years away
