Jan. 31, 1974 - Sun heats French houses: An example of the first French prototype house built in the tiny village of Lorraine by Architect Jacques Michel. Numerous houses with solar heat are being built in an experimental project launched by the Government in conjunction with the Electricite de France. Each solar house will be equipped with a solar-collecting wall of heat-collecting glass, with concrete backing. This wall will conduct three quarters of the energy required to heat entire house. Solar energy captured in solar centres will be used for the production in these houses of electricity. Powerful collectors are already installed at various points throughout the country
