Oct. 10, 1977 - France Welcomes Its First Sola Ray (Factory) The first of its kind Sola-ray centre to be constructed in the Midi area of France. It has been given the go-ahead by M. Souedille, Secretary for State Research in the Pyrenees. It will be built on a sommet with a 60 metre tower. Its multitude of specially placed mirrors will catch the sun rays and will activate heat waves and steam by the aid of turbo-alternator.
