Jun. 06, 1959 - Another progress for the European Television: On June 19th, 1959 the official service of the Austrian Television Services will be initiated. The Telefunken company has done a lot to build up the Austrian Television Net, and has also built the Antenna for the station on the Pfander (Austria). Through this new station, it will be possible for the people living in the Austrian mountains to see television of the Eurovision programms and the programms of Austria and Switzerland.
