Conflict over Vietnam wreath for Cenotaph, London

Apr. 25, 1968 - April 25th, 1968 Demonstration at Anzac Day Wreath laying ceremony at Cenotaph. A Franciscan Monk, Brother Selwyn, 27, a New Zealander, of the C of E Franciscan Order, Worcestershire, sparked off a demonstration at the Cenotaph today, after the High Commissioners and service representatives of Australia and New Zealand had laid their Anzac Day Wreaths. Brother Selwyn placed a wreath on behalf of the North Vietnamese dead. Six Australian and New Zealand demonstrators were arrested.
