Mar. 22 Li 1797 Conservative Party Conference at Brighton: The Conservative Party held it Annual Conference at Brighton. In her final speech Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher said there would be no change in her rigid policies. She congratulated her cabinet on the victory in the Falklands and led the party in a chorus of Land of hope and glory.
