Dec. 12, 1961 - Actress charged after director is knifed: Actress Constance Smith, 32, was today charged of causing grievous bodily norm at Clifford Inn, Fetter lane, last night, Police went to the flat after a phone call and found Mr. Rotha with a knife embedded in his stomach. Five other kneads were found an a chair. A wedding and an engagement ring were also found. A young woman was standing in the room in her nightgown.
