Coronation Day tribute by British Waterways Board

Jun. 06, 1978 - Coronation Day tribute by the British Waterways Board: at a ceremony at Little Venice, Paddington, West London this morning to mark the start to the celebrations to mark the 25th anniversary of the Coronation, a message of goodwill and loyalty signed by the Mayors Buckingham Palace by members of the Scout Association who started off by canoe along the British Waterways Board's Regent's Canal to Limehouse Basin where the canal joins the River Thames, from there the message will be taken upriver to Westminster Bridge and then on to the Palace by a runner. Photo shows Sir Frank Price, Chairman of the British Waterways Board, reads a message of welcome to the Mayors of the London Boroughs at Little Venice this morning
