Dec. 28, 1961 - Royal Gifts exhibition at Christies. The Coronation egg: Royal art treasures from 1066 to 1900 valued at £400, 000 are on show at the Royal Gifts Exhibition which opens at Christies in London tomorrow in aid of the YWCA. Photo shows the Coronation egg, a Faberge red, gold and lime yellow enamelled Easter Egg, with inside a yellow, gold and strawberry enamelled coach, given to Alexandra Feodorovna by Emperor Nicholas II in 1897. The coach is an exact replica of the Imperial Coach used at their coronation in Moscow in 1896
