Aug. 08, 1962 - London's First Woman Ambassador Arrives Senora Mimi Chittendam, 43, the new Costa Rican Ambassador to London, arrived at London airport this morning. Her three children arrived with her. Senora Chittendam is the first woman ambassador ever to be sent to the Court of St. James. her husband is fruit exporter Edward Chittendam, an American. She has therefore dual nationality.
