Feb. 02, 1989 - Cricket on Ice: The World's first game of cricket on ice took place on the frozen lake of St.Moritz. Switzerland's most famous winter resort has known horse-race on ice for 80 years, golf on ice for 12 years, polo on ice for 4 years but never yet cricket on ice. For the world premier on February 4th, a British team had been invited to St. Moritz so as to demonstrate the true art of cricketing
