1955 - A young passenger disembarking from a liner coming to New York from Europe has her handbag searched by a Customs officer. The young lady is entirely innocent but she just happened to be selected for a spot search which is carried out at random. The officer seen searching the handbag recently stopped a man coming from a ship because he seemed to walk in an un-natural way.
