1972 - Secretary Freed In Blackmail Case: Mrs. Annick Marie Hily, the 36-year-old French Secretary who demanded, 000 with menaces from her employer, referred to as Mr. X. after he had invited hr to bind and whip him, was given a 12-month jail sentence, suspected for two years, at the Old Bailrey yesterday. Her lover, Simon Nicholas Hall, 26, was jailed for two years for blackmail. Divorcee Mrs. Hilly and Hall changed their pleas from not guilty to guilty of Blackmail, Mr. John Hazan, QC, defending Mrs. Hilly, said she wanted to stress that she had never Concerted to the suggestions made to her by Mr. X. She was never a willing partner to any sexual activities. Mr. X, in cross-examination at the magistrate court hearing, had never suggested she was.
