Jun. 06, 1953 - First American tourist before German court. For the first time after the war the 59-years-old American tourist Hermann B. Speelman stood before a German court in Munich. When driving through the Landsberger street in Munich on June 25th, Speelman came on the left side of the street, drove down the slope and killed the passenger Katharina Purper. A bicycle driver was hurt. Speelman who was arrested until eight days ago was acquitted in trial before Munich court through the attorney asked for five months imprisonment as there was not enough proof for the guilt of the accused.
