Sep. 09, 1953 - Murder Plot Overheard: Detectives investigating the murder of a G.I. dumped from a car heard of a murder plot last night. They went to the Selborne Hotel, Howard street, Great Yarmouth, to collect bundles of blood-attained clothes found in a room there. The prorietor of the Selbone Hotel, Mr. Frank Keller, said: On Saturday night we had five Americans staying here. We heard them having a terrific argument about doing somebody, My wife cleaned the room later, and came across piles of bloodstained clothing hidden away. The Selborne Hotel is less than 50 yards from the bombed site in Howard street, where the G.I. 22-year old Rodrigo Martinez, was murdered early the next morning. His body was dumped from a car near Great Yarsmouth racecourse. The previous evening, Martinaz met 17- year old chorus girl, Patsy Lawrence and too her to a dance on the Britannia Pier. She was the last person to dance with him before he was killed. Photo shows The place where the American airman's body was dragged
