Nov. 17, 1952 - Craig and Bentley in court on P.C. murder charge crowd outside the court.: Christopher Craig (16) of Norbury and Derek William Bentley (19) also of Norbury appeared before the Croydon magistrate today - jointly charged with being concerned in the murder of Police Constable Sidney Miles at Croydon on November 8th. This is the first time they have appeared together at the court. Craig was on a stretcher. Photo shows the crowd outside the court during the hearing today
