Sep. 09, 1954 - Crash bandits grab46, 000 gold bars Twenty second robbery; Gold bullion valued at46, 000 was stolen last night in a twenty second raid, The gold was being loaded on to a KLM Lorry at Jockey Fields, Holborn for transportartion to London Airport on way Lorry snatched two wired wooden cases each containing four bars of gold threw them into the van and raced off into Helborn. The raiders had already blocks one end of the harrow passage way with officials for finger prints etc. Photo Shows The scene of the robbery last night showing the stolen car in rear to right blocking the end of the street and the bullion lorry on night. The raiding van was back up to the bullion lorry The whole raid took only 20 seconds
