1956 - GERMAN MOTHER KIDNAPPS HER OWN SON IN PARIS. A dramatic carrace with illegal border-crossing ended a visit which Mrs. Ellen Schmid from Alsbach near Darmstadt made to her son Wolfgang (12) who lives with her divorced husband in Agny near Paris. After realsising that Wolfgang got bad treatment by his father, Mrs. Schmid drove up to her son's school togethet with a friend, Peter Kramer from Alsbach, and her daughter Karin (11), and they took Wolfgang off with a car. After trying to get a visa from the german consulate in Paris, they took off on a dramatic car-travel crossing the french-german border illegaly to get Wolfgang back to his mothers home in Alsback. Back in Alsbach Mrs. Schmid managed to get aid by a Bensheim court whoch claimed that Mr. Schmid temporarily had lost rights to have his son due to bad treatment. Mrs. Schmid's youngest child Siegfried (5) still lives with his father but he too is wanted back by his mother.
