Jan. 17, 1957 - A sensational and doubtful fate of the Hungarian fugitive Zoltan Mescarn: The 20 years old locksmith jumped on the platform of the Munich main station during a short stop of the Orient Express and he asked for asylum and the doctor's help. When he was in a Munich hospital he asked the Hungarian sponsorship of the Free World to inform the other fugitives who were in the same train and who had a collective ticket of the French officials to Budapest, that they should leave the train till before reaching the Austrian/Hungarian border to ask for political asylum in Germany or Austria. According to Mescarn's report the 200 fugitives were forced in Montlacon (France) to enter the foreign Legion or to work in the mine. All who refused to agree were sent back to Hungaria.
