Jun. 06, 1957 - Jail Breaker William Fowler Flings Mood off escaped from Dartmoor - free for 33 days: A raincoat was placed over the head of Jail breaker William Fowler (34) when he arrived at the Magistrate's Court at Mary port, Cumberland, yesterday. He flung off. Fowler was sent for trial on charges from Dartmoor Jail and was free for 35 days during which he traveled by car rail yacht and hitchhike via Somerset Kent Eased South Coast and Manchester to the North.
