Oct. 25, 1957 - 25-10-57 Deputy Head of Brighton C.I.D. arrested. Charged with police chief Det. Inspector John Richard Hammersley, second in Command of the Brighton C.I.D. was today arrested at Brighton. Also arrested was Mr. Charles Field Williams Ridge (57) the Chief Constable of Brighton.
