Nov. 11, 1957 - Mannheim-bank-roobers-trial has started.: In the former electoral palace of Mannheim started on November 7 1957 the jury-trial against Kurt Schuler, 25, of Pforzheim, and Brian Cowell, 32, of Cambridge. they are accused of having committed an armed robbery of a Mannheim bank on August 16, 1957. To have stolen German Marks 45 000 and two have shot to death one policeman and severely injured another on their flight.Beside charges are pressed against them for having robbed two other banks one in Stuttgart and the other in Frankfurt.
