Nov. 11, 1957 - Did parents beat their son to death? Manfred Jeschke, 23, and his wife Ursula Jeschke, 29, both of Berlin - Heiligensee have been arrested under the serious suspicion to have beaten their 6-year-old son Manfred Bengsch to death. It is surmised that the child - it is the wife's son by previous marriage - has slowly suffocated because his skin which was covered by blood-shot spots and numerous little wounds, colud not breathe anymore. After denial at first the mother and th step-father later admitted to have beaten the boy more than often with wooden clothes-hangers, spade-handles, wood-logs and other things which just had come handy.
