Jul. 07, 1957 - Briton On Murder Charge In Germany Trail Begins At Mannheim: The trail began today in Mannheim, Germany, of British citizen, Brian Mawdsley Cowell, 31, and his German friend, Kurt Schuler, 25, who are charged with murder and armed robbery. They were arrested after a daylight armed robbery on a Mannheim bank last August, in which a German police- sergeant was killed and another seriously injured.
