Jan. 01, 1957 - Runway Mental Patients captured After Sixtyfive Hours Of Freedom: The two mental patients who escaped on Friday from Rampton Institute, Notts. were captured yesterday after sixty five hours of freedom. The two men broke into the home of 44 year old Mrs. Marjorie Wagner at Weston-on-Trent. They made Mrs. Wagner supply them with a meal - she managed to raise the alarm - the two men made a getaway but they were caught and overpowered at a garage just north of Newark. Photo Shows: The hunt is over - and police escort the men from Neward Police Station. With Frank Ellis is front is P.C. Briddon - who played a big part in the capture of the fugatives
