1958 - Harley Street Doctors Arrested.. Charged in Connection with Death of Nurse.. Two Harley Street doctors were arrested yesterday - and charged in connection with the death of a nurse. They were Dr. Ellis Stungo (57) who was a pioneer of the Truth Drug in Britain - and Dr. Louis Aimee Newton.. They gave evidence last month at the inquest on 35 year old Nurse - Australian Miss Jean Josephine Cook.. Dr. Newton was yesterday charged with unlawfully killing Miss Cook and with using an instrument to procure a miscarriage.. Dr. Stungo was charged with procuring Dr. Newton to procure a miscarriage..
