Jun. 06, 1958 - Peter Manuel Goes Back To jail - In Handcuffs.Appeal Against Conviction For Seven Murders.: On the advice of his counsel - Peter Manuel (32) did not appeal in the Edinburgh Court yesterday - at opening of the hearing of his appeal against conviction for seven murders. During the hearing he stayed in the cell behind the court - and refused to eat two lunches that were offered to him. A prison official said that there is no indication that Manuel is on hunger strike.
