Mar. 27 Funeral Service in Munich/West Germany for the victims of the Bomb Attempt at Oktoberfest : On September 30th, 1980 a funeral service for the victims of the terrible bomb explosion at Munich Oktoberfest on September 27th took place in the Old Townhall. Nearly all leading politicians from west Germany, also Chancellor Helmut Schmidt, took part. Mayor of Munich, Erich Kiesl, as well as re-presentants of the Catholic and the Protestant Church spent addresses to the relatives of the victims and the other present people.
