Apr. 18 Hanns-Martin Schleyer Murdered! In the evening of October 19th, 1977 the suspicious came true: Hanns-Martin Schleyer is dead! He has been found in the luggage-boot of an Audi 100 with a German number plate. Only a few hours before, the kidnappers addressed themselves with letters to a German press agency and a French newspaper and stated the position of the car with the body of Schleyer with Mulhouse in France. Explosive specialist, which had been ordered from Germany, first inspected thoroughly the car for eventual blasting compositions, before they found Schleyer in the luggage-boot. Hanns-Martin Schleyer had been kidnapped on September 5th, 1977 by the RAF (Red Army Group) and was in the custody of the terrorists for 45 days. It's supposed, that Schleyer had been killed not before the kidnappers heard of the suicides of the leading heads of their group in Stuttgart-Stammheim (FRG). In the very same night from October 19th to 20th in the FRG started a big search, to find the terrorists and their accessories.
