Mar. 22 wartime Master forger Friedrich schwend was arrested in Bonn : Recently the west-German police could arrest by mere coincidence Friedrich Schwend, one of the wire-pullers in the wartime project Bernhard, meant to devaluate the British Currency by releasing millions of pounds, which were forged. Friedrich schwend was taken into custody in are now questioning him as the defendant in the case of the sudden death of theophil camber 32 years ago, who was also enged in the Bernhard operation. Friedrich schwend has been living in South America, but was condemned to 21 years of prison in Italy in 1965 because of the camber case, however he could escape them. 1974 he had been condemned for forgery to two years of prison in Peru and was after having served this term off back to Germany which he could enter without being discovered
