1960 - Beauvais Tapestry thief arrested: A priceless XV Century Tapestry (healing of Saint Petronilla) as stolen from the Beauvais Cathedral two days ago. the thief, Jacobus Garcia, 29, born in Belgium, was arrested as he was ttyring to steal the tapestry to Paris Antique dealer yesterday evening. Questioned by the police Garcia admitted to a number of other thefts, mainly from churches. Photo shows Garcia hiding his face from the photographers
