Feb. 16, 1960 - Girl Tries To Steal A Ring - By Swallowing It Fined10 By Cardiff Magistrates: Twenty two year old Christine Meazey of Cogan, Glamorgan - was yesterday fined10 when she appeared before the Cardiff Magistrates - charged with having attempted to steal a45 diamond ring from a Jeweller's shop. The ring disappeared when Christine and her boy friend were selecting rings at a Jeweller's shop. The couple were X-rayed - and the plates clearly showed the ring - plus a 6D that the girl had swallowed in - it is alleged - an effort to cover up the ring.
